Health and Social Care

Why Health and Social Care?

We are delighted to introduce two Health and Social Courses ready for September 2021.

The Level 2 Course is a one year course that is the equivalent of four GCSEs. You will have the opporunity to work on Maths and English GCSEs alongside the course. While there are exams as part of this course, you will complete coursework and research projects. You also complete a work experience unit in the Health and Social Care sector. This is a great course if you need a bit more help in deciding if the Health and Social Care sector is for you.

The Level 3 Course is a two year course that is the equivalent of three A-Levels. There is an emphasis on work experience - you complete 100 hours of work during the course - which will help you decide what it is you would like to do in the future. We will also arrange a number of trips to residential and educational settings, and we regularly have visitors in to talk to students about their experiences.
