Further Mathematics extends the topics studied in A Level Mathematics. Many of the topics act as a stepping stone to ideas which will be explored in the first year of a mathematical degree course.
This is a good A-level to study for students wanting to continue Mathematics at university or for students that are particularly gifted at Mathematics and have a real interest in the subject.
The course covers pure content (including algebra, calculus, sequences, complex numbers) and applied content (mechanics, statistics and decision mathematics).
Students must also choose A Level Mathematics, which is taught alongside this subject.
